Mien Tay sampan is designed according to the traditonal sampans which have navigated on the Mekong flows. Long of 20 m and wide of 4 m , made of ‘’Sao’’ wood, a variety of oak, very resistant to water, well appreciated by people who spend all their life working and living on water.
For a pleasant and long cruise in comfortable conditions, the sampan is equiped 5 cabins twin with 1 well ventilated compartment which could be used as a diner room as well as bedroom with couchettes available for group of 2 to 16 persons maximum; besides one kitchen, three restrooms with showers, one terrace on the deck, a five- person- crew included the captain, one mechanic, the chiefcook, one sailor and one guide, are at your service .
Passengers on Mien Tay will be amazed and integrated in their discovery of landscapes, of local daily life, of smiling and open hearted people of the Delta and of aquatic life anywhere they go with the sampan.

Day 1: My Tho - Cai Be (L, D)
08h00 pick up at hotel in Saigon then route for My tho
11h00: boarding Mien tay boat in My Tho, welcome drink and check in boa, then a walk to visit Thoi Son Island. Mekong Delta’s countryside is a network of small tracks linking small villages and remote farms and houses together, which go through lush vegetation and cross small bridges. Nearly everywhere is an opportunity to stop for an enthusiastic welcome by local people and kids, a picture of the nature at its wildest or a delightful tasting of fruits or local products.
Take a paddle boat though the small canals and enjoy tropical fruits. Back on board for lunch.
The cruise continues to Ngu Hiep. Disembark for a walk or bike ride on the footpaths of the countryside of Ngu Hiep islet to discover tropical fruit orchards and local people's activities.
Back on board for enjoying beautiful scenery, picturesque boats ballet and ferry crossings over Mekong River branches, wild life on the banks, and magnificent sunset on the river.
Dinner and overnight on board
Day 2: Cai Be - Vinh Long – Tra On (B, L, D )
Breakfast on board before exploring the lively Cai Be floating market. Mekong Delta’s floating markets are a feast for colors, smells and tastes, and they gather together countryside people for sharing goods and news from families living often in remote places: an authentic Vietnamese culture experience.
Cruise further to visit handicraft villages and meet local people, discover typical houses and sample various tropical fruits.
Back on board for lunch. The cruise continues to Tra On. Upon river tide, disembark for a walk or bike ride on the footpaths of the countryside to discover fruit orchards and local people's activities.
Back on board for the Cruise continues to Tra On. Leisurely cruise up the Mekong River and enjoy beautiful scenery and relaxing time while sipping a drink until sunset time has come.
Dinner and overnight on board
Day 3: Can Tho – Saigon (B)
Breakfast on board in Can Tho. Embark on a small boat to visit Cai Rang market, one of the most bustling floating markets in the Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners sell their goods. Then wander amidst palm-shaded creeks to see local houses and green orchards. Back on board for check-out. Transfer to your hotel in Saigon. End of tour
